DYRF Radio Fuerza Masses For the Month of May 2014

DYRF is the official radio station for the 2016 International Eucharistic Congress

Beginning last March 2014, DYRF revamped its programming in view of the Herculean event come January 2016: the 51st International Eucharistic Congress (IEC). As a Catholic station, it is our wish to be at the forefront of bringing the Word of God closer to the homes of our listeners. Few months back, we procured a 12k top of the line Nautel transmitter enabling DYRF today to cover the whole Cebu province and several provinces in Visayas and Mindanao with its broadcast.

For decades now, we broadcast live the Holy Mass every Sunday morning coming from St. Joseph Parish, Tabunok, Talisay City. Beginning last March, we brought the Holy Mass live from the featured parishes in the city and the towns of the whole Cebu province. We hope to cover majority of the parishes, shrines and chaplaincies before the IEC in 2016. In a way, the Lord is visiting the faithful through the live broadcast/webcast (http://dyrf2015.weebly.com) of the Holy Eucharist coming from all over the Archdiocese each Sunday morning and during special occasions.

His Excellency Jose Palma gladly supported this project. Indeed, it is high time that in the spirit of new evangelization, DYRF, being a Catholic station, be working hand in hand with the Archdiocese of Cebu.

In the Slopes of Camalig

Text and Photo Credit: Fr. Gilberto Antonio Marqueses, SVD

We are now here in slopes of Camalig, just by the riverside of Tabukala. We are fetching our novice Harley who spent days in the mountains as part of his Mangyan Mission exposure. It is noteworthy that over the years, these mountain villages have served as training grounds for young missionaries. And most of us will speak of these experiences as a learning for a lifetime.
